Marketech says orders are booked into 2028
Taiwan's Marketech International expects at least five more years of growth, a positive sign for the chip building boom.
- Marketech is sitting on a huge order backlog, with work already booked through 2028.
- The company says it has enough workers and materials lined up to serve customers in Taiwan, the US, Japan and Germany.
- Demand is being driven by advanced chip packaging — the CoWoS and CoPoS technology used to build AI chips.
- TSMC's overseas expansion is a big part of the pipeline, with its second Japan plant and its German plant both under construction.
- Marketech is bringing in new foreign tools and technology, and is recruiting students and offering scholarships to keep staffing up.
Outlook: As long as TSMC keeps building new plants at home and abroad, Marketech's order book should stay full.
