Power is coming back across Kauai, good news for most residents, though thousands on the North Shore are still waiting in the dark.

• Four out of five customers on the island have their electricity back.
• Roughly 7,000 customers are still without power.
• 13 of the island's 15 transmission lines are working again.
• About 100 outside crews from Hawaiian Electric, Southern Cal Edison and HMS Construction are now on Kauai helping with repairs.
• The boil water notice in Kilauea has been lifted, but people are still being asked to go easy on water use.

Outlook: Crews are concentrating on the North Shore transmission lines, so some of the remaining customers there could get power back within days.
