Flash flooding from Hurricane Lowell wrecked a Waiāhole family farm on Oahu, and volunteers are stepping in to help dig it out.

• Fast-moving water tore through Seguin Family Farms, destroying crops, knocking down banana trees and dumping logs and trash across the fields.
• The stream near the farm rose 15 to 20 feet and the damage was done in under an hour.
• Dozens of volunteers, some driving in from town, showed up to clear debris — many had never met the family before.
• The farm already lost more than half its banana production in the March Kona low floods and had only just started to recover.
• Another storm, Norbert, is expected to weaken but still bring rain to the same areas.

Outlook: The farm is asking for more volunteers for a second cleanup Sunday morning, with more rain on the way.
