Pacific designers showcase work at Hawai'i Swim Show this weekend

Aug 25, 2026

The Hawai'i Swim Show returns to Hawai'i Kai this weekend, good news for local designers and small businesses looking for a wider audience.

  • Daytime shopping runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with more than 30 vendors selling swimwear, resort wear, and home goods.
  • Runway shows start in the evening, with doors at 6 p.m. and 16 designers featured across the weekend.
  • Designers are coming from the outer islands and from Tahiti, Australia, and the Cook Islands.
  • The event grew out of a Native Hawaiian designer breaking into Miami Swim Week, which led to ties with Sports Illustrated Swim.
  • An after-hours party upstairs at the Hawai'i Kai venue closes things out, with a guest performer.

Outlook: Now in its fifth year, the show keeps expanding its reach across the Pacific and is likely to draw more overseas designers next time around.
