明年統籌稅款高達9725億 北市1264億遙遙領先

Taiwan's central government will hand local governments a much bigger pot of tax money next year, good news for city and county budgets but a warning sign for public debt.

  • The shared tax pool for 2027 hits about NT$972.5 billion, up 10% from this year.
  • Every county and city gets more money, with Taipei far ahead at roughly NT$126 billion, followed by New Taipei and Kaohsiung.
  • Tainan comes last among the six special municipalities in both total size and increase.
  • Outside the big six, Changhua takes the largest share, with Hsinchu City and Pingtung next.
  • The finance ministry told local governments to keep spending in check and use the extra money to pay down debt first.

Outlook: Local governments get a cash cushion next year, but pressure will build over whether they spend it or use it to cut debt.
