陸戰隊導入新式模組化戰鬥背心

Aug 15, 2026

Taiwan's Marine Corps has rolled out a new combat vest built for amphibious fighting, and it's now standard issue across the force.

  • The vest took four years to develop, based on feedback from troops, and is designed to fit the body better and stay out of the way during combat moves.
  • It uses a modular, one-size design with adjustable shoulder and side straps, so it fits different body types instead of forcing a single spec on everyone.
  • Quick-release buckles and a red pull-cord let troops shed the vest fast — useful for battlefield first aid and to avoid drowning in water operations.
  • Laser-cut panels replace the old stitched webbing, cutting weight and stopping the gear from snagging on nets or obstacles.
  • Broken parts can be swapped individually instead of scrapping the whole vest, saving money, and female troops get a better fit than the old oversized version.

Outlook: Future versions will add more adjustable padding and a zip-off hydration pack, pushing further toward gear tailored to each soldier.
