A 23-year-old man has been formally charged after a deadly stabbing in Kalihi, a bad outcome for public safety in the neighborhood.

• Alexis Aino, 23, was arrested and is now charged with second-degree murder and first-degree robbery.
• A 66-year-old woman died in the attack.
• A judge set his bail at $1 million.

Outlook: Aino will head to court to face the charges, with bail set high enough to keep him in custody unless he can post it.
