It's a routine holiday closure day in Hawaii, neutral news mainly affecting schedules rather than markets or politics.

• Today is Election Day, observed as a state holiday in Hawaii.
• Public schools on Oahu are closed for students.
• City buses run on a modified holiday schedule instead of the normal weekday routes.
• Satellite city halls and driver licensing centers are closed for the day.

Outlook: Normal government and school schedules are expected to resume the next business day.
