A man armed with a knife carjacked a family in Waikiki and later crashed the stolen car miles away, and he's still on the run.

• The suspect forced a 21-year-old driver out of a car near the Hilton Hawaiian Village, while his teenage sister and two younger siblings scrambled out safely; no one was hurt.
• About 25 minutes later, the stolen car crashed into another vehicle nearly 12 miles away, leaving people inside with minor injuries.
• The suspect ditched the car and ran before officers arrived at either scene.
• He's described as a Polynesian or Filipino man in his 30s, around 5'7" and 170 pounds, with long black hair, wearing a dark jacket and pants, slippers, and carrying a green backpack.
