This is a neutral civic story about young people turning out to vote in Hawaii.

• Students and first-time voters joined a "Walk to the Box" event, marching from the King Kamehameha statue to Honolulu Hale to drop off ballots.
• The event was organized by Our Kaiāulu Votes, a nonpartisan, youth-led group pushing civic participation statewide.
• Participants said young people feel pressure to speak up now to shape the future they want.
• Similar walks on Hawaii Island, Maui, and Kauai drew more than 400 people combined last month, showing the push is statewide, not just Oahu.

Outlook: Organizers are likely to keep holding these walks through Election Day to boost youth turnout.
