McCully District Park is temporarily closing parts of its facility for upgrades, which is a short-term inconvenience for local residents but should leave the park better maintained once finished.

• The recreation building is fully closed for a renovation covering classrooms, flooring, bathrooms, and roofing.
• That building is expected to reopen in the spring.
• A separate project to fix the pool deck starts in January, and the pool itself will close during that work.

Outlook: Residents should expect the park's recreation building and pool to be out of service into next year before both reopen fully repaired.
