Kailua town's free annual Halloween scavenger hunt, Monster Mayhem, is wrapping up its run, offering families a lighthearted way to explore local shops.

• Families followed a "seek and treat" trail through Kailua businesses, picking up a mission map near the UFC Gym entrance.
• Participants collected clues and treats at stops along the way, aiming to gather all eight stamps.
• Completing the full stamp card earned a prize at Classic Waves Boutique.
• The event doubled as a way to support small businesses in the area.

Outlook: Details for hours and future events are available through the Kailua town website, with the event likely returning next Halloween season.
