Nyte Technology Shifts From Plastics to Semiconductor Materials Ahead of Taiwan IPO

Oct 28, 2026

Taiwan materials maker Nyte Technology is leaving behind its old plastics business to chase the booming chip and AI server market, a good sign for its growth and for investors watching Taiwan's semiconductor supply chain.

  • Nyte's semiconductor materials revenue share jumped from about 3% in 2023 to roughly 19% in the first half of 2026, fueled by demand for wafer carriers, shipping boxes, and IC trays used in advanced chipmaking.
  • Growth is accelerating fast: nine months of 2026 sales already came close to matching all of 2025's full-year revenue, with monthly sales up sharply from a year earlier.
  • The company is also moving into AI data centers, making heat-resistant, flame-resistant parts for backup battery systems to ride the AI server boom.
  • Nyte plans to list on Taiwan's stock market in late November at a reference price of NT$88 a share, and analysts expect its stock to be valued higher as it shifts toward these higher-margin products.
  • Elsewhere in Taiwan's chip sector, foundry UMC raised its spending plans and gallium arsenide maker WIN Semiconductors surged on strong earnings, even as Taiwan's broader stock market fell and the Taiwan dollar stayed weak.

Outlook: Nyte is targeting double-digit revenue growth next year, with high-end chip and AI-related materials expected to make up over a third of sales.
