Trial of Fears haunted house returns to Honolulu
A Halloween attraction in Honolulu is back with a new theme, and part of what it earns will go toward funding local women-owned businesses.
- Trial of Fears has reopened at Queen Street in the Ward area, across from Whole Foods.
- This year's theme is a quarantine lab where visitors have to stop a parasite outbreak from reaching Oahu.
- It mixes scares with puzzles that guests must solve to move from room to room, unlike a standard haunted house.
- A share of ticket sales will go to local women entrepreneurs, who can pitch for funding directly.
- It runs weekends through November 1, plus select Thursdays and Sundays.
Outlook: A family-friendly follow-up event called The Night Between is planned for November with a holiday theme.
