Honolulu police are investigating a reported sexual assault inside a University of Hawaii at Manoa dorm, a troubling case for students living on campus.

• The assault was reported Sunday in a student residence hall at UH Manoa.
• The student says they invited someone met on a dating app to their dorm room.
• That person arrived with a second individual, who is the alleged attacker.
• The dating-app contact is not a student, and it is unclear whether the alleged attacker has any ties to the school.

Outlook: Police are still working to identify the suspect, and the case is likely to raise fresh questions about dorm security and visitor access.
