Royal Hawaiian Center to host keiki costume contest and trick-or-treating
Waikiki's Royal Hawaiian Center is putting on a free Halloween day for families, with real prize money on the line — good news for parents looking for something to do with the kids.
- A keiki costume contest runs the afternoon of Sunday, October 25 at the Royal Grove.
- Winners in each category take home prizes, and the overall grand prize includes a $250 center gift card, two flight vouchers good on Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines between Hawaii and North America, and gifts from shops at the center.
- Center-wide trick-or-treating runs earlier, from noon to 6 p.m., at participating stores.
- A separate fall dining deal through the end of October gives anyone spending $50 or more at the center's restaurants a free locally designed tote bag.
Outlook: Expect more holiday events at the center as attention turns to Christmas.
