Weather modification claims and snow at 45 degrees
Declassified CIA weather-control files are getting fresh mainstream attention, and anti-geoengineering activists are using the moment to push much bigger claims — alarming if true, unproven as stated.
- The Daily Mail revived once-secret CIA documents, declassified in 2003, describing US plans to alter weather and storms with chemicals dropped from planes and rockets.
- Dane Wigington of GeoengineeringWatch says testing finds graphene, aluminum, barium and polymer fibers in rain, and calls the spraying chemical and biological warfare, not just weather control — claims mainstream science rejects.
- Florida's ban on weather modification has changed nothing on the ground, and state scientists are accused of looking for excuses, like fireworks residue, instead of investigating.
- The chemical ice nucleation argument is the hook: endothermic chemicals can freeze a rainstorm into snow at 45 degrees, the same trick Chinese scientists used to bury Beijing in a storm.
- Hurricanes are the other claim — storms funneled into the southwest while nothing is allowed to spin up in the Gulf, conveniently protecting oil infrastructure.
Outlook: Expect more congressional and state-level interest in weather modification bans, with little chance of the sweeping biological-warfare claims being confirmed.
