Kailua shooting suspect indicted in fatal Target shooting
A 24-year-old woman has been indicted for murder in a deadly shooting outside a Kailua Target, a fast-moving case that could end with a life sentence.
- A grand jury on Oahu indicted the woman less than a day after she was charged with killing 30-year-old Thomas Malone.
- The shooting happened Saturday night near the Kailua fall festival, after a fight broke out in the nearby Target parking lot.
- Malone died at the scene; the suspect later turned herself in at the Kailua police station.
- She also faces two gun charges and was charged as a repeat offender, so a jury could decide on life without parole.
Outlook: She is being held without bail at the Oahu Community Correctional Center while the case moves toward arraignment.
