2 more teens arrested in Halawa attempted murder investigation
Honolulu police have made two more arrests in a shooting that badly hurt a teenage boy, a sign the case is widening beyond a single suspect.
- A 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy were arrested in connection with a shooting near the Halawa housing parking lot.
- The shooting happened two weeks ago and left a 15-year-old boy seriously injured.
- Police had already arrested and charged another 15-year-old boy with four counts of attempted murder.
- All those involved so far are minors, pointing to a group of teens rather than one shooter.
Outlook: Prosecutors will decide what charges the two newly arrested teens face, and more arrests are possible as the investigation continues.
