Crews from across Hawaii help restore power on Kauai
Power is coming back on Kauai after a hurricane knocked out electricity, good news for residents still in the dark.
- Most of Kauai has power again, but about 7,000 customers are still waiting, with the North Shore hit hardest.
- Hawaii Electric crews are working alongside Kauai's utility to speed up repairs.
- Around 60 workers and 30 trucks are being shipped in from Oahu, Maui, and Hawaii Island.
- An Air Force C-17 flew in Southern California Edison crews and six utility trucks over the weekend.
Outlook: More crews and equipment arriving this week should get the remaining customers reconnected faster.
