Server maker Wiwynn has switched on production in the United States, a positive sign for its AI server business and for customers who want machines built closer to home.

• The new US plant is running and should make up about 20% of Wiwynn's output next year.
• Mexico stays the biggest production base; the US site will be a quarter to a fifth its size.
• AI and custom ASIC servers are catching up to ordinary servers, splitting shipments roughly evenly this quarter and tilting toward AI in the fourth quarter.
• Spending on new factories is jumping sharply in the second half, going into Taiwan, Tainan, Malaysia, and water-cooling and power upgrades.
• August sales hit a monthly record, and the company sounds upbeat about the rest of the year.
