Power restored for majority of Oahu, final repairs expected Wednesday
Most of Oahu has its electricity back after storm outages, good news for residents though a few hundred homes are still waiting.
- Crews worked overnight and brought another 1,600 customers back online.
- About 400 customers are still without power as of this morning.
- The remaining outages are in Honolulu neighborhoods and on the windward side of the island.
- HECO expects to finish the last repairs by Wednesday.
Outlook: The final customers should have power back within a day, wrapping up the island-wide restoration.
