Pegatron's August sales hit third-highest level of the year, with a stronger fourth quarter expected

Sep 10, 2026

Taiwanese contract manufacturer Pegatron is growing again, and it expects an even better end to the year — good news for investors betting on the AI server boom.

  • August sales jumped 34% from a year earlier, the company's third-best month of 2026.
  • New phones from its customers should give a big lift in the fourth quarter.
  • AI server shipments will beat the first half, driven by Nvidia's GB series, B200 and B300 chips.
  • Laptops are the weak spot — shipments nearly halved from last year as chip and memory prices rise and parts run short.
  • Pegatron is confident it can grow server sales tenfold this year and plans to raise spending on new capacity in Taiwan and North America.

Outlook: Servers could become one of Pegatron's three biggest businesses within a year or two, offsetting a shrinking laptop line.
