Quanta's August revenue hits record on surging server shipments

Sep 08, 2026

Taiwanese electronics maker Quanta posted its best month ever in August, a strong sign that the AI server boom is still running hot.

  • August revenue jumped sharply from July and nearly tripled from a year earlier, an all-time monthly high.
  • Servers, both regular and AI ones, are now the main engine of growth, and shipments are set to rise again this quarter.
  • Revenue for the first eight months of the year doubled from last year, also a record.
  • Nvidia's new VR platform will only ship in small sample volumes late this quarter, with the real switchover coming in the next one.
  • Quanta is rushing to build new production lines in North America, Taiwan and Thailand to keep up.

Outlook: The fourth quarter looks messier as old projects wind down and new ones start, but demand for AI servers shows no sign of cooling.
