• Ko Chih-en held a temple-forecourt rally at Sanfeng Temple in Kaohsiung's Sanmin District, drawing a crowd of more than a thousand supporters.
• Chiayi City Mayor Huang Min-hui made the trip south to lend her support, stressing that Ko Chih-en "does what she says and keeps her word."
• Ko Chih-en chose to relaunch her campaign at the same site where she spoke four years ago, a symbol of her renewed bid in Kaohsiung.
• Local councillors made campus safety, environmental protection and flood control their signature issues, appealing to her professional background in education.
• The Chiayi native-place association mobilised its officers to attend, showing the Blue camp's aim of shoring up the votes of Kaohsiung residents hailing from other counties and cities.

Outlook: The Kaohsiung race will keep heating up, and Ko Chih-en is expected to carry on the temple-forecourt rally format to turn out her base across the city's districts.
