HTC ships upgraded VIVE Eagle AI glasses to Europe and US, August revenue up 37.7%
HTC's monthly sales jumped as its new AI glasses started shipping to Western markets — a small but welcome bright spot for a company still shrinking year over year.
- August revenue rose 37.7% from July on strong orders for the redesigned VIVE Eagle AI glasses.
- Sales are still down 7.7% from a year ago, and down 6.9% for the first eight months of 2026.
- The upgraded glasses launched on September 3 and are now going into Europe and the US.
- They will start in electronics stores, then move into phone carrier shops.
- HTC expects the holiday quarter to help, and sees AI glasses hitting real growth next year as the novelty phase ends.
Outlook: The fourth-quarter shopping season is the first real test of whether Western demand can turn HTC's revenue decline around.
