Taiwanese industrial computer maker ADLINK (凌華) posted its best month ever for revenue, a positive sign for companies selling the hardware that runs AI outside the data center.

• August revenue jumped 48% from a year earlier to a record high for a single month.
• Sales for the first eight months of the year are up 42%, also a record for that stretch.
• Orders picked up across Asia, the Americas and Europe at the same time, so the growth is broad rather than one big customer.
• The demand is coming from semiconductor equipment and edge AI — AI computing moving out of the cloud and into factories, hospitals and machines on the ground.

Outlook: ADLINK plans to push further into edge AI, medical, smart manufacturing, semiconductor and automation gear, and expects demand for edge computing hardware to keep growing.
