Aspeed and LandMark hit record August revenue on AI data-center demand
Two Taiwanese chip suppliers just posted their best month ever, a strong signal that AI data-center spending is still accelerating — good news for investors in the AI supply chain.
- Aspeed, Taiwan's highest-priced stock, set a monthly revenue record for the tenth month running, with August sales more than double a year ago.
- Aspeed's chairman Lin Hung-ming said orders already booked for next year exceed this entire year's sales, with visibility stretching out to 2028.
- Parts shortages held Aspeed back early this year, but supply is loosening and the second half should be much stronger.
- Aspeed will raise prices by double digits in the fourth quarter to pass on higher costs from its own suppliers.
- LandMark Optoelectronics grew for the twelfth straight month, with data-center parts now the bulk of its sales and a four-year US supply deal for laser chips signed.
Outlook: Both companies expect growth to keep building, with LandMark guiding for a sharp jump in third-quarter sales and a big capacity expansion through 2027 and 2028.
