The old case in which the National Indigenous Peoples Museum was moved from New Taipei's Sanying area to Kaohsiung has now become the main line of attack and defense in the New Taipei mayoral race, putting pressure on Democratic Progressive Party candidate Su Chiao-hui.

• The Kuomintang argues that the project was originally set for Sanxia and Yingge in 2015, and was moved to Kaohsiung by the central government in 2017.
• A KMT city councilor said during questioning that had it been built in New Taipei back then it would have been completed long ago, and that the DPP owes New Taipei an apology.
• Hou Yu-ih did not directly demand an apology, saying only that society will render its own judgment and that the people can see clearly.
• Su Chiao-hui previously responded that she had consistently pushed for it to be built in Yingge, and that she strongly protested when the Council of Indigenous Peoples decided to move it to Kaohsiung.
• The indigenous cultural park that New Taipei is developing on its own has been sited at Dakanyuan, planned at 1.5 hectares, with preliminary planning outsourced last year.

Outlook: This decade-old case will continue to be used by the blue camp for campaign attacks in the short term, while New Taipei's indigenous cultural park will proceed as planned, unaffected by any change of mayor.
