• Guatemala's interior minister spent several days in Taiwan and said President Arévalo firmly backs the two countries' relationship.
• Guatemala will keep pushing for Taiwan's participation in international bodies like the UN, the WHO and Interpol.
• Taiwan has donated more than 500 Taiwanese-made police motorcycles to Guatemala to help its officers get around faster and fight crime.
• Taiwan also trained 15 Guatemalan officials in cybersecurity and fighting online crime, after Guatemala was hit by foreign hackers.
• The two countries have been allies for 92 years, one of Taiwan's longest-standing partnerships.
