Chunghwa Precision Test Tech's August revenue hits another record high
Chip-test interface maker Chunghwa Precision Test Tech (精測) posted its best-ever month for sales in August, a strong sign that the AI chip boom is still feeding through to Taiwan's supply chain.
- August sales hit a record, up more than 50% from a year earlier and still growing month to month.
- Demand for AI, high-performance computing and custom ASIC chips is driving it — advanced chips need more testing.
- Sales for the first eight months are up a third from last year.
- Customers are shifting from one-year deals to talks about two to three years or longer, giving order visibility into 2027.
- Capacity doubled between the end of 2025 and this August, with another 50% increase planned by March, and more possible if demand holds.
Outlook: Management expects next year's growth to beat this year's and is upbeat on 2028, with further expansion on the table if AI chip orders keep coming.
