• Drills around Taiwan have shifted toward blockading the island by sea and air, joint missile and artillery strikes, and landing troops.
• China still cannot pull off a real invasion — landing at several points at once while holding control of the sky and sea and keeping supplies flowing is beyond it for now.
• Below the level of open war, China keeps up daily pressure with warplanes, coast guard ships, maritime militia, drones, cyber snooping, and even balloons floated over the island.

Outlook: Expect more blockade-style drills and constant gray-zone pressure rather than an invasion attempt, while China keeps closing the gaps in its amphibious and logistics weaknesses.
