Taiwan's ruling party has turned the end of a bruising legislative session into a campaign attack, naming and shaming ten opposition lawmakers ahead of the November 28 local elections.

• The DPP put KMT lawmaker Weng Hsiao-ling first for budget cuts that killed an order of 15,000 gift boxes from 37 sheltered workshops that employ disabled workers.
• Second place went to Fu Kun-chi, blamed for skipping sessions and negotiations and driving the deadlock between the KMT and the TPP.
• Others on the list were faulted for downplaying a sexual assault case, blocking a minister from answering questions, and pushing to zero out defense spending on drones and submarines.
• One name was tied to a hospital fire that killed nine people; another was accused of slashing court budgets after his party chairman was convicted of corruption.

Outlook: Expect both sides to keep using the record of this session as ammunition until voters go to the polls on November 28.
