Honolulu police have caught a man who never came back from a work release pass, ending a short manhunt on Oahu.

• A 46-year-old man was arrested in the Pearlridge area on Oahu.
• He had been let out on a work furlough pass on Friday and was supposed to be back that evening.
• When he did not return, he was declared an escapee and police began looking for him.
• He was taken into custody in the early afternoon without any reported trouble.

Outlook: He faces an escape charge on top of whatever he was already being held for.
