Democratic Progressive Party Taichung mayoral candidate Ho Hsin-chun convened a rally of a thousand female supporters and rolled out a raft of expanded social welfare pledges, as the campaign enters its final 90-day sprint.

• More than a thousand female supporters attended the "Hsin-chun Sisterhood" certification ceremony, signalling a full-scale start to grassroots mobilisation.
• The platform centres on "three firsts": a metro rail network, all-ages care benefits, and an unmanned vehicle industry cluster.
• Childbirth and childcare subsidies are to be increased, including a NT$50,000 postpartum care subsidy per birth, an egg-freezing subsidy, and a monthly NT$1,500 nutrition allowance for children aged 0 to 6.
• Points on the senior citizens' care card would no longer expire, taxi points would be increased and their permitted uses expanded, and vaccine subsidies for older residents would continue.
• If finances permit and the city council approves, a universal cash handout would be pursued, effectively distributing the city treasury's surplus directly to residents.
