A retired bus driver has turned a 1935 building in Wahiawa into an antique and oddities shop, good news for collectors and for families clearing out old homes.

• James Tucker runs Lost and Found Treasures Company on Mango Street, selling watches, jewelry, artwork and curiosities.
• His stock comes from storage lockers, garage sales, thrift stores and swap meets, plus his junk removal work.
• One find is a 19th-century Japanese ink stone marked with a shogun's name and dated 1836, which he says belongs in a museum in Japan.
• Clearing out a home is emotional work: documents and photos get set aside, families take what they want, and the house is blessed before the rest is hauled away.
• The shop is open Wednesday through Sunday, with a gallery for jukeboxes, art and koa furniture opening upstairs.

Outlook: The upstairs gallery is the next step as the shop expands beyond antiques.
