A widening corruption case against Taiwanese lawmaker Chen Hsueh-sheng has pulled in more of his family, bad news for the KMT legislator and the shipping executives tied to him.

• Chen's nephew, Liu Meng-han, was released on bail after prosecutors questioned him over acting as a fake assistant to collect public money.
• Liu had been abroad during the raids and returned home this week to face investigators.
• Prosecutors searched 35 locations across Taiwan, Kinmen and Matsu, taking in 27 people, including Chen's brother, sister and nephew.
• Chen himself was released on higher bail and barred from leaving the country or sailing out.
• A shipping company boss, father of a former Kinmen county chief, was also bailed over allegedly supplying free staff to Chen.
