After KMT legislator Weng Hsiao-ling cut and froze the Presidential Office's state affairs fund, scuppering sheltered workshops' Mid-Autumn Festival orders, she then dragged CPC Corporation into the affair by accusing it of a procurement execution rate of zero — only for the company's own figures to directly refute the claim.

• The Presidential Office had planned to order Mid-Autumn gift boxes from 37 sheltered workshops and disadvantaged groups nationwide, but all the orders were cancelled after the budget was cut and frozen.
• Weng Hsiao-ling hit back at accusations of double standards, saying CPC had budgeted NT$1.43 million to buy sheltered-workshop products but had not spent a single cent.
• CPC responded that it did not know where the NT$1.43 million figure came from, adding that it actually procured about NT$14.75 million worth last year, accounting for more than 28% of relevant procurement — far above the 10% required by law.
