Honolulu Crimestoppers is asking for help identifying suspects in two Oahu cases, one a shoplifting and the other a violent robbery of an elderly man.

• A man walked out of a Waipahu retail store in late July with a cart of unpaid merchandise, caught on camera in a red aloha-logo shirt and a backward snapback hat.
• Because the goods were worth between $250 and $750, the case is third-degree theft — a misdemeanor, not the felony charge that usually comes with these cases.
• In a separate case in August, two men attacked an elderly man before dawn, one striking him with a dangerous weapon while the other took his moped.
• Both suspects are described as local men in their 20s to 30s, one in a black hoodie and blue shorts, the other in a branded black face mask and distinctively patterned shorts.
• Tips that lead to an arrest can earn up to $1,000 and can be left anonymously by phone, website, or the P3 Tips app.

Outlook: Both cases remain open, and arrests will likely depend on someone recognizing the clothing captured on the store and street cameras.
