• A 14-member group spanning the KMT, DPP and TPP attended the Asian-Pacific Parliamentarians' Union meeting in Tokyo, led by Deputy Legislative Speaker Chiang Chi-chen on behalf of Speaker Han Kuo-yu.
• Three Taiwanese proposals were adopted — building democratic and resilient supply chains, strengthening food security, and cooperating on ocean protection — and a joint communiqué was signed.
• The group met Japanese lawmakers from the Taiwan friendship group and the ruling LDP, plus delegates from the Marshall Islands, Tuvalu and Palau, the Philippines and Guam.
• Asked about a controversy over shelter mooncake orders handled by the Taichung city government, Chiang said he had been abroad and did not yet know the details.

Outlook: Expect Taipei to keep leaning on cross-party delegations to hold ground in Asia-Pacific forums, while the Taichung mooncake question stays open at home.
