A drunk driver lost control on a Tainan street overnight and smashed into three parked cars, in a crash that could easily have been far worse.

• The driver, surnamed Yang, was over the legal alcohol limit when he veered off his lane just after midnight.
• He hit a parked SUV first, nearly pushing it off the road into a fish pond below.
• He then scraped two more cars before a guardrail finally stopped him.
• Yang walked away with only minor scrapes and was arrested at the scene.

Outlook: Yang faces public endangerment charges, with the case already handed to prosecutors.
