• Chiang Ho-shu said that if Taichung's MRT is to be built quickly, Taichung needs to produce a president, and called for a "Lu-Huang ticket."
• Huang Kuo-chang responded, "No, no," saying Chiang Ho-shu has always been one to make startling remarks, describing it as "wisdom with a touch of humour," and joking that Chiang was helping reporters write their headlines.
• Huang Kuo-chang urged the media to turn their attention back to the Act Governing the Allocation of Government Revenues and Expenditures, calling on the central government to hurry up and release the funds due to Taichung.
• Approval for Taichung's MRT has moved more slowly than Kaohsiung's, dragging on for more than 700 days; Huang Kuo-chang said he does not want it suddenly approved just before the year-end elections, turning it into material for DPP legislators to claim credit.

Outlook: In the near term the TPP will concentrate its firepower on the revenue allocation act and the progress of Taichung's MRT, while the 2028 ticket line-up will remain unsettled.
