Zhubei's Twin-City Golden Commuter Line resumes service on August 31, with free rides for students

The free school shuttle service in Zhubei City, Hsinchu County, returns to the road on the first day of the new semester — good news for families ferrying children to and from school.

  • The "Twin-City Golden Commuter Line" resumes operation on August 31, the first day of term, serving students at Zhuzhong, Zhushang and Jiangong high schools. All rides are free.
  • No school will hold eighth-period classes during the first week of term, so return departures have been moved earlier, to between 4:15 p.m. and 4:35 p.m. Departures after 5 p.m. will not resume until September 7.
  • Outbound times are unchanged: the West Line leaves the city hall at 6:35 a.m., and the East Line leaves Liujia High Speed Rail Station at 6:45 a.m.
  • The route originally ran one bus each on the East and West Lines; as demand grew, a second bus was added to the West Line in September last year.

Looking ahead: the city hall says it will continue to adjust service frequency according to actual ridership, easing the burden on parents who drive their children to school.
