A 29-year-old master's student is fighting for her life after falling from the condensed matter physics building at National Taiwan University, a tragedy for the campus community.

• The student, a second-year physics graduate student surnamed Huang, fell from the fourth floor on Tuesday afternoon and landed on the ground level after breaking through a safety net.
• Passing students found her and called for help; emergency crews arrived to find her without a pulse and began CPR before rushing her to National Taiwan University Hospital.
• Police forensic teams found no sign of anyone else being involved and no accident indicators, and no note or personal belongings were left at the scene.
• Investigators have contacted her family, and the cause of the fall has not been determined.

Outlook: She remains in emergency care while police continue their investigation.
