Days of heavy rain in Changhua County toppled a large tree onto a parked SUV, wrecking the vehicle but hurting no one.

• The tree stood behind the county stadium's swimming pool and came out of the ground roots and all after rain soaked the soil.
• The trunk and branches crushed the roof of an SUV parked at the roadside, badly bending the body.
• Nobody was inside the car, so there were no injuries — just a scare for passersby.
• Police and the county's city and tourism office went to the scene, and the fallen tree is not blocking the main road.

Outlook: A professional crane and tree-trimming crew will assess the site Tuesday and clear the debris.
