Two Ewa Gentry burglaries may be linked
Two families in Ewa Gentry on Oahu were robbed in similar break-ins a month apart, and they think the same masked man did both.
- One home was hit on August 8th while nobody was inside, and the burglar spent 30 minutes taking jewelry and keepsakes worth thousands.
- A month earlier, a nearby home was broken into the same way, with drawers emptied and doors and windows left open.
- Security cameras at both homes show a man in a hoodie, long pants, a homemade ski mask and white gloves, carrying a flashlight.
- He took specific jewelry and left plenty of other valuables behind, which suggests he knew what he was looking for.
- Honolulu police say they are investigating but see no sign yet that the two cases are connected.
Outlook: The families are pushing the story on social media and asking for tips through Crime Stoppers, hoping public pressure leads to an arrest or the return of what was taken.
