Taiwan PCB makers ride AI server and optical module demand
Taiwan's circuit board makers are booming as AI servers, fast networking gear and satellite links soak up every board they can build — good news for the stocks and for the whole Taiwan tech supply chain.
- Gold Circuit Electronics won its first big cloud-provider order for AI ASIC server boards, moving it beyond just switch boards.
- Its Thailand output will jump five to six times over last year, with Taiwan capacity up 50%, and factories are already running flat out.
- Compeq is chasing the data-center optical module market, where high-end parts are switching to a harder-to-make board type that is already in short supply.
- Compeq grabbed drilling and plating machines early, so it can open dedicated new lines in Taiwan and Chongqing while rivals wait.
- Tripod and Nan Ya PCB are also expanding, with Nan Ya expecting AI work to top 40% of sales this year.
Outlook: Order visibility now stretches years out, so these makers look set to keep posting record results into next year.
