Taiwan's authorities are turning fraud proceeds into cash at a public auction, a win for anti-scam enforcement and a rare chance for luxury buyers.

• Taichung prosecutors seized a Richard Mille automatic watch worth over NT$20 million and a Lamborghini Urus valued at NT$15 million used from a fraud case.
• The Ministry of Justice's Taichung enforcement office will sell the items at a live auction on September 1.
• Also on the block: 27 Hermès and Chanel handbags, several cars seized over unpaid vehicle taxes and fines, and two columbarium niches from the collapsed Kuo Pao Group.
• The stated goal is deterrence — stripping scammers of the luxury goods they bought with stolen money.
• Bidders on the watch must bring a NT$100,000 certified bank check; everything else needs no deposit.
