Power outage in Tianzhong, Changhua after fallen tree hits power line
A tree-clearing job knocked out power to nearly 2,000 homes in Changhua County's Tianzhong Township, a short but disruptive outage for local residents.
- Crews from the township office were dealing with a fallen tree when they accidentally hit a power line, tripping the circuit.
- The outage started mid-morning and cut electricity to about 1,956 households across Zhongshan Street and nearby roads.
- Taiwan Power sent repair teams straight away and rerouted supply, dropping the number of homes still without power to a few dozen.
- Full power was expected back within an hour and a half, before noon.
Outlook: Power should be fully restored the same morning, with no lasting impact beyond the brief disruption.
