Hawaii is getting a break as the storm that followed Hurricane Lala weakens, but thousands on the Big Island are still without power and food.

• Tropical Depression Mo is falling apart as it moves west, with only light showers and modest winds so far.
• The Big Island is still soaked from Lala, so a flood watch runs through Monday and even light rain could bring runoff and mudslides.
• Roughly 6,500 customers on Hawaii Island remain without power, and some Caou residents may wait until September 8th.
• Volunteers are flying private helicopters to isolated families, one church is serving 1,000 meals a day, and the state will hand out 4,500 student meals a week.
• Governor Josh Green launched "Trek 808," using military transport planes to bring in extra equipment before the next storms arrive.

Outlook: Mo should fade into a harmless remnant low within a day, and Tropical Storm Isel — still 1,300 miles east — is expected to break up before reaching the islands.
